Roles:
An International Liaison Officer (ILO) is also known as an expatriate advisor and is hired by an organization for the proper facilitation of work of the organization in a foreign country or territory. The organization hires international liaison officers in various countries to ensure that the communication with the locals of the place is properly maintained and that the operations there go smoothly.
Responsibilities includes:
Various organizations hire an international liaison officer for different reasons. The organization may be humanitarian or a profit-making institution, and the exact duties and responsibilities differ from one organization to another deSpending on the type of work the company does. However, the main aim and responsibility of most international liaison officers is to facilitate contact between the local people and the organization.
Scope of work:
- The ILO guides and motivates host country partners and teams in both intelligence and operational activities.
- ILOs manage and coach staff at post including staff based within Sapient.
- The ILOs lead and support tasked operations overseas and provides specialist support to Sapient partners.
- The ILO provides effective liaison with foreign country partner agencies, and other key partners in order to obtain, develop and exploit tactical and strategic intelligence focused on serious and organized business.
- ILOs act on their own initiative in Operational situations and make decisions regarding the strategic business decisions.
- The ILO maintains appropriate operational records, management information, performance data and Self Assurance records to ensure the effective deployment and use of resources in line with entity priorities and best value.
